Kingfish, a band made up of 5 higschool musicians, has been around for shortly over a year. However that year has been a
very productive time for all of the members. Formed from another local band after re-adjustments, Kingfish was made out
of the baisic principle of never "selling out". The band tries not to be that of a normal conception of a "Rock band",
but rather to find a style that is completely unique. They may be considered "Indie rock", but the bands music cannot be detained
by virtually any genre. Stylistically, they are influenced by bands such as Radiohead, Interpol, Sigur ros, Coldplay,
and local band Midlake. Over the first few months of conjoining, Kingfish grew from a Jam band in an upstairs room, to one
of the most thriving local bands in the metroplex. Kingfish has won a total of three battle of the bands earning them prestegious
rights to press, shows and recording time. They have also appeared at many of the largest clubs in the state including the
hallowed "Gypsy Tea Room" for the Dallas Music Fest. They have also played with touring acts such as "Radiant". The band is
currently working on a full length CD and has an expected release date for late this fall. For more Info, please
